He attempts to feed using his long tongue, but the insects are faster and flee easily. Luthor also receives two of his scientists, who elected to present him their new invention. Ignatius manages to untangle himself and watches, how the new ray firing machine causes an apple to gain size and weight. When the show is done, the scientists and Lex Luthor afterwards, leave the room. Ingatius abandons his terrarium and is planning to use the device for own purposes - to enlarge insects as food.

When checking the weapon's scope, Ignatius spots Krypto and Streaky playing with the caterpillar in the park, when the wind passed away. Once Krypto and Streaky leave the caterpillar, Ignatius fires the ray at it, causing the bug to gain size. Ignatius leaves LexCorp with cultery to have his new meal. The caterpillar calls Krypto once again, then it grows once again. Ignatius attempts to snatch the bug with his tongue, which fails because the caterpillar has grown so large, that it caused a branch to break. Ignatius falls down with his tongue wrapped around his wannabe meal. The enlarged caterpillar doesn't hurt itself due to Ingnatius's tongue acting like a bungee, while Ignatius lands in the nearby bushes. Krypto has to hold the bridge to make sure the subway travels safely. The onlt individual happy with the huge caterpillar's presence is Ingatius, for he lures the bug into one of LexCorp's magazines, hoping to have dinner with the insect as the main course. The caterpillar walks into the magazine, not being aware that it is a trap Ignatius has set. Once the subway drives safely, Krypto uses his laser gaze to fix the damaged bridge pillar. Having mended the bridge, Krypto heads to Ignatius. The iguana is shocked due to Superdog's presence. Krypto scans the area and lets Ignatius in. The iguana finds a large cocoon, which turns out impossible to be pierced by cutlery.

The scenery changes to the forest outside Metropolis. Krypto and Streaky visit the cocoon planted near a trees deep in the forest. Suddenly, the cocoon breaks and a huge butterfly emerges. It has similar facial features to the caterpillar Krypto saved earlier in the episode. After a brief talk, the butterly agrees to accompany Krypto and Streaky in flight.
