Summary[]
Ace, assists the Dog Stars, when Hot Dog, goes missing.
Plot[]
While repairing their star ship on Earth, the Dog Stars, are introduces to Bat Hound, by Krypto. However, Bat Hound quickly feels dwarfed by the Dog Stars as they begin mocking him for not having big powers like they do. That night, Hot Dog wakes up thirsty when he gets kidnapped by a mysterious figure. While the Dog Stars are searching for their missing friend, Krypto brings Bat Hound with him to solve the mystery of Hot Dog's disappearance. Seeing Bat Hound's innate sense of mental power and catching clues that he alongside his fellow Dog Stars missed, Bull Dog not only begins to feel bad about mocking him but also is impressed with his skills. Wanting to set things right with his new friend and realizing that he might find Hot Dog a lot faster with his help, Bull Dog asks Bat Hound if he can accompany him on his investigation and he accepts his help.
While Krypto and the rest of the Dog Stars continue their search for Hot Dog, Bat Hound and Bulldog go looking for more clues in hopes of finding their missing friend. During the investigation, Bat Hound, finds a hairball but Bull Dog realized that it was left by Snooky Wookums, and realizes that he's the one who kidnapped Hot Dog. After realizing that the hairball is gonna exploded, Bull Dog and Krypto get rid of it before it does. Discovering Snooky's ship but invisible, Bat Hound, and Bull Dog, go inside it and they find him draining Hot Dog's energy. Bat Hound and Bulldog do battle with Snooky Wookums but he uses Hot Dog's heat energy against them. However, Bat Hound launches a batarang which flies over and cuts the wire to the gun rendering it useless. Foiled, Snooky tries to escape but Krypto intervenes and sends him bouncing around like a pinball. Bulldog frees Hot Dog and makes a bad joke by telling him that he won't be a hot dog for a while and he can be a chili dog, the jokes so bad even Snooky ends up face palming. In the end, Hotdog is returned home and Bat Hound is given an apology from the Dog Stars for how they treated him before. Bat Hound assures the Dog Stars that they don't need to apologizes but does appreciate that they accept him with or without powers and was happy to help them in their time of need. Through this experience, Bat Hound and the Dog Stars learn that superpowers are not always needed when you have brains and courage.
